Event Staff Required - Food Tasting Kiosk

Responsibilities

1. Conduct product tastings: Set up and manage product tasting stations in a professional and inviting manner. Offer samples of our food and beverage products to customers, showcasing their quality, taste, and unique features.

2. Engage with customers: Interact with customers in a friendly, approachable manner, answering their questions about the products and providing recommendations based on their preferences. Create a positive and enjoyable experience that encourages customers to try our offerings.

3. Product knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our food and beverage products, including their ingredients, flavours, and preparation methods. Stay updated on any new additions or changes to the product line to provide accurate information to customers.

4. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene: Ensure the tasting area is clean, organized, and visually appealing. Adhere to strict food safety and hygiene standards while handling and serving samples.

5. Sales and promotion: Actively promote our products and highlight their unique selling points to customers. Use your engaging personality and product knowledge to effectively communicate the benefits and features of each item, aiming to increase sales and customer engagement.

6. Gather customer feedback: Collect feedback from customers regarding their preferences, tastes, and overall impressions of the products. Record and report this feedback to the appropriate team members for analysis and consideration in product development and improvement.

7. Collaborate with the team: Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to coordinate tasting events and promotions. Provide input and suggestions based on customer interactions and feedback to contribute to the overall marketing strategy.

Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Previous experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail, hospitality, or food service, is desirable.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage with a diverse range of customers.
4. Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate product information clearly and confidently.
5. Approachable, friendly, and enthusiastic demeanour that creates a positive and welcoming environment.
6. Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
7. Flexibility to work on weekends, holidays, and during special events as required.
8. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
9. Passion for food and a keen interest in the culinary industry.
