Born on 29th March 1986 into a Marwari family settled in Hyderabad, Telangana, Varma pursued his passion for acting by studying at the FTII (Film and Television Institute of India). He began his journey as a theatre artist in Hyderabad before honing his skills at FTII. After completing his postgraduate course, Varma moved to Mumbai to pursue acting opportunities. His debut came in the short film “Shor,” directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, which garnered critical acclaim and accolades at various film festivals, including winning the Best Short Film at the MIAAC festival in New York.
