Karis Life founder Rejimon Punchayil and his work in assistive technology

NSW Premier Chris Minns presents the Community Impact Award to Karis Life founder Rejimon Punchayil at the Sydney Malayalee Association’s Golden Jubilee celebration.

Rejimon Punchayil is the Founder and Owner of Karis Life, an Australian assistive technology company dedicated to helping older Australians, people living with disability and veterans live with greater independence, dignity and confidence.

His journey into assistive technology began with a simple act of kindness. Shortly after arriving in Australia, Rejimon helped an elderly lady with mobility difficulties who could not find her car in a shopping centre car park. The experience made him realise that many people lose their independence not because they lack determination, but because the systems around them are not always designed with their needs in mind. That moment inspired a lifelong commitment to improving quality of life through practical solutions, education and community service.

Rejimon acquired a small assistive technology business, which has since grown into Karis Life, a trusted partner to occupational therapists, aged care providers, rehabilitation services, veterans, NDIS participants and families across New South Wales. Under his leadership, the organisation has built a reputation for clinical collaboration, personalised service, education and innovation.

Also present on the occasions were: Dr MP Hugh McDermott, Member for Prospect, Charishma Kaliyanda, MP for Liverpool, past Presidents and other dignitaries.

Beyond business, Rejimon is a passionate advocate for healthy ageing and independent living. He regularly writes and speaks on topics relating to assistive technology, accessibility, falls prevention and ageing well. Through initiatives such as Live Life Better community seminars and continuing professional development programs for occupational therapists, he has worked to improve awareness and access to assistive technology across the community.

Rejimon believes that business should be a force for positive social impact. His work is guided by a simple philosophy: that compassion, knowledge and innovation can help people live with greater dignity, independence and opportunity.

Through Karis Life and his broader community involvement, Rejimon continues to champion practical solutions that empower individuals, strengthen communities and improve lives.
