Refreshing & Easy Mocktails – Delicious Non-Alcoholic Drinks to make at home

Who doesn’t like to sit and just unwind with a glass of wine or a chilled beer; the problem arises when you continue drinking and wake up with a bad hangover. Besides, the habit remains unbroken and intensifies, leading to several health problems. Also, it affects the mood and impacts your relationships.
Thankfully, you don’t need to rely on alcohol to have a good time or relax because you can opt for a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. In fact, you can easily make some of them at your home.
Minty Pomegranate Punch

In the bottom of a pitcher, muddle half of the blueberries, half of the mint leaves, and half of the pomegranate seeds. Add cranberry juice, pomegranate juice, and agave nectar, and stir well to combine.
Divide the remaining blueberries and pomegranate seeds between glasses, and fill each halfway with the juice mixture. Top off with sparkling water, and garnish with mint. Drink up!
Blackberry Virgin Mohito

Classic mojitos are always refreshing with fresh mint and fruit. This non-alcoholic version is still every bit as refreshing with an easy mint simple syrup and fresh blackberries. It will have you dreaming of carefree summer days. The simple syrup will make more than you need, but you can keep it refrigerated for one week and save it for another use, like in homemade lemonade.
Crush mint leaves in a small pot using a wooden spoon or using a mortar and pestle. Add sugar and water and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring to dissolve sugar. Let boil for 3 minutes. Let cool to room temperature, then strain out mint leaves, pressing with a wooden spoon to help release all liquid.
Add blackberries and sugar in a small bowl, and with a wooden spoon, crush blackberries until broken down. Divide blackberries between 4 glasses and add two tablespoons of simple syrup and two tablespoons of lime juice to each glass. Fill glasses with ice, top off with seltzer, and then garnish with mint.
Alcohol-free passion fruit martini

Scoop the flesh from four of the passion fruit halves into a cocktail shaker. Add the lemon juice, egg white, spirit and syrup and shake vigorously until frothy.
Add the ice, then shake again until the outside of the shaker feels cold. Double strain into martini glasses. Top up the martinis with the grape juice and garnish with the remaining passion fruit halves.
Grapefruit gin sour mocktail

Put ½ red or pink juiced grapefruit, juiced 50ml non-alcoholic gin, ½ lemon, 2 tbsp simple sugar syrup (see tip), and one egg white into a cocktail shaker or a large jam jar. Shake the jar well.
Add a handful of ice to the shaker and shake vigorously for at least 30 seconds or until the sides of the shaker feel cold—strain into tumblers with more ice or coupe glasses without ice. Serve with a grapefruit twist garnish.
Raspberry Cordial

Put the raspberries in a pan with the sugar and vinegar. Mash over low heat for 10 mins until smooth and syrupy. Rub through a sieve into a clean pan.
Tip the seeds from the sieve into a bowl and stir in 300ml water, then sieve again to remove the last of the pulp from the seeds. Pour the liquid into the pan with the sieved pulp, stir well, and boil for 1 min. Pour into small sterilised bottles and seal. The cordial will be kept unopened for a few months. Once opened, store in the fridge.
Peach Delight

Start with the thyme syrup. Mix boiling water and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Ta-da, you’ve just made simple syrup! Now, steep a handful of thyme in the syrup until the flavours combine. That could be for as little as 30 minutes, but the longer you let it infuse, the more powerful the flavour becomes.
Then make the grilled peach syrup. Slice the peaches and grill them until they’re nice and caramelised (golden brown and juicy). Combine your simple syrup (see above) with the grilled peaches. Perfection.
It’s cocktail mixing time. First, mix your chai with the syrups. Then, shake it up, baby!
Finally, garnish and serve. Your zero-proof cocktail is served.
Pumpkin Martini

Make the spiced syrup. Generally, simple syrups include equal parts boiling water and sugar. Once the sugar has dissolved, you can add the spices to taste.
Get cracking. This recipe includes an egg white, meaning you should crack and separate that baby first.
Shake it up. Combine the syrup, rum alternative, pumpkin puree, and egg white. The International Bartenders Association recommends mixing up egg white cocktails in a cocktail shaker. Garnish and serve. Don’t forget your cinnamon stick and nutmeg.
