Shahid Kapoor is a heartthrob. His boyish good looks have made many women weak in the knees throughout his career, notwithstanding his recent experiments with facial hair. Though he has recently gotten married, he has had a lively past with women. In this article, we track the most memorable ones.

July 7, 2015, Shahid Kapoor tied the knot with Mira Rajput, a girl outside the film industry and thirteen years his junior. Shahid was 34 when he got married, and Mira was 21 at the time. Though Shahid is now a strictly one-woman man, he has had a bit of a colourful past when it comes to women in his life. Here’s a quick recap (but hey, who’s counting?)

Kareena Kapoor
Shahid Kapoor first made headlines for being Kareena Kapoor’s boyfriend. When his career graph was going nowhere and for all intents and purposes yet to begin, Kareena was already the darling diva of the media and had set out to conquer Bollywood. It is said that Kareena was the one who made all the first moves in their initial courtship days, and after a five-year relationship joined at the hip, they broke up and went their separate ways.

Vidya Balan
Shahid is said to have met Vidya Balan – then single – on the sets of Kismet Konnection, and rumours say that there was an instant connection between the two. Shahid was on the rebound with Kareena and Vidya herself was looking for love, so the time seemed ripe for these two, but the love story did not last long. Some say that Shahid had less than complimentary things to say about Vidya’s weight, so she did the honourable thing, dumped him and found a man who appreciated her more.

Sonakshi Sinha
His co-star in the superhit movie, R…Rajkumar, Sonakshi Sinha is said to have hit it off well with Shahid Kapoor. Though the co-stars claimed to be nothing more than good friends, the rumour mill began to buzz when Sonakshi accompanied him on a trip to Goa. The two appeared on Karan Johar’s show, Koffee with Karan, soon after. They went together to numerous parties and events, which gave tongues more room to wag.

Priyanka Chopra
It seems like Shahid cannot but fall for each of his co-stars. After Sonakshi Sinha came Priyanka Chopra, with whom he acted in a Vishal Bharadwaj movie called Kaminey. While again they didn’t open up to the media about their relationship, their off-screen romance was quite obvious to industry insiders. They appeared together on Koffee with Karan, where they did not deny the various references Karan Johar made about their relationship.

Mira Rajput
After all these failed relationships, Shahid went on record saying that he is done dating women from within the industry and that he will look for love outside the confines of Bollywood. True to his word, he met, fell in love with, and married Mira Rajput before the year is out. We wish the actor a long married life.
