Salman beats SRK in the Forbes India Celebrity 100 List

How to put an end to the debate – Whether Salman is better than SRK or not?
Well, to be honest there is no conclusive way to find an answer to that question, but if stats are to be believed, Salman had a better 2014 as compared to SRK. The 2014 Forbes India Celebrity 100 issue placed Salman on top of their list while Shah Rukh was placed on the third position. From the last three years SRK was topping this list, but this year Salman broke that record. Megastar Amitabh Bachchan acquired the second position.
This list ranks celebrities from different fields including sports, films and the music industry. The rankings are based on the estimated earnings of the celebrities (during that one year) as well as their fame quotient. And since SRK didn’t have a release during the time period which is considered for measuring these parameters (October 2013 to September 2014), he lost this battle to Salman.
Despite a quiet year, SRK was able to hold on to the third slot because of his brand value that earned him more than Rs 200 crore (mostly through endorsements). On the other hand, Salman had quite a few blockbuster hits to his name, along with several TV appearances and charitable events for his NGO, Being Human.
Besides Salman, Shah Rukh and Amitabh, others who made it to the top 10 include celebrities like MS Dhoni, Aamir Khan, Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, Sachin Tendulkar, Akshay Kumar and Virat Kohli.
