Australian News Anchor Dubbed As World’s Most Beautiful News Reporter
Sarah Williamson, 31, is a familiar face in Melbourne. The journalist began her career at i24 News following four years at Nine Network Australia. Then, the news anchor again relocated to native Israel, where she started work at the local i24 News, where she earned acclaim while covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Williamson, also dubbed the ‘world’s most beautiful news anchor’ or the more nuanced “the world’s finest news anchor”, has proved a big hit in Israel since her return. However, last week she broke the news on her Instagram channel that she was leaving Tel Aviv for New York.
Her move is down to a new job at the American news network Newsmax. Newsmax has its critics due to its relative conservative rhetoric. The channel is blatantly right-wing, an ethos demonstrated in its unwavering support of former US President Donald Trump.
Although, many are unsurprised given William’s recent comments, such as her recent criticism of Australia’s strict lockdown measures. Also, she recently posted on her Instagram feed that Australians were living in a “totalitarian society”. Williamson expressed that she was ashamed of how the government has handed the pandemic and accused the Australian government of brainwashing Australia’s citizens. This comment did not go down well with many.
While many believe Williamson to be Australian, she was born and reared in Israel. She studied at Victoria University and made her mark in Australian media. However, now she has her sights set on the American market. We wish her well despite her controversial remarks.
