Bollywood Scriptwriter who was once a Bar dancer

There are people who achieve laurels after years of struggle and deceit. Bollywood Scriptwriter Shagufta Rafique is one such example. Presently, she is one of the most prominent scriptwriters in Bollywood industry but not many people know that she gave her debut performance as a bar dancer at a private party in Mumbai and that too at a tender age of 11. It was a place where most of the men were drunk and were throwing money at her but she grooved with lots of energy.
Shagufta has faced abject poverty and abuse at the hands of many and was even forced into prostitution in order to feed her mother a three-course meal. The journey has been immensely tough for Shagufta and now the feisty scriptwriters has penned down screenplays of 11 Bollywood movies over the past decade. Her contemporaries say that her scripts are different from others owing to the fact that she herself has seen the dark side of life which makes her scripts soo successful. Shagufta Rafique writes for Vishesh Films owned by Mahesh Bhatt and the film maker is all praises for the writer. Mahesh Bhatt considers Shagufta as naturally talented owing to the hurdles that she has faced in her life.
Shagufta Rafique basically grew up in adverse conditions but her family was always in awe of Bollywood cinema. But on the contrary, they were also battered by the undercurrents of cinema and her mother wanted her to make it big in the industry.
