Sushmita Sen Says Madonna is Her Style Icon
Stunning actress Sushmita Sen revealed that ‘pop diva’, Madonna is her ultimate style icon. The 39-year-old former beauty-queen was the showstopper for noted designer Namrata Joshipura’s collection, which she displayed during the recently concluded Blender’s Pride Fashion Tour, Kolkata.
It was during this event that Sush was asked who her favourite style icon is and she replied, “I love Madonna. She is my icon and I feel her music is her style quotient.” The actress looked every bit of a style icon herself as she walked the ramp, wearing a grey-silverish glass-embroidered evening gown with a thigh-high slit. Miss Sen further added that people automatically become fashionable when they are successful. She said, “People are stylish when they are successful in every walk of life.”
Sushmita was also asked about her feelings on being in her hometown, to which she replied, “I enjoy speaking in Bengali. To me Kolkata is home.” The ‘Main Hoon Na’ actress was last seen in the 2010 film ‘No Problem’. She is apparently doing a couple of Bengali films right now, besides being the face of several prestigious brands and advertising campaigns.
