 The Indoor Plants You Need

Plants are a wonderful way to bring outside beauty into your home. There are specific plants that flourish indoors. These plants can do so much more than just spruce up a space with beauty and colour. A lot of indoor plants have health benefits that not everyone knows about. We are going to have a look at some of the best indoor plants for health benefits.

Spider Plants

These hardy little plants are attractive additions that do not need a lot of care. They do not like direct sunlight and can grow in almost any soil. You do not need to give these plants a lot of water because of their succulent qualities.

Spider plants remove toxins from the air in your home. Your house can be clean, but impurities enter your home from several sources, including shoes, fabrics, and foods. In addition, carbon Monoxide is always present in a house, especially if you live in a city; spider plants target these gases and toxins.

Aloe Vera

Aloe vera has been proven to help with certain skin conditions. Most of us have grown up learning the health benefits of this plant. You can apply the gel from inside the leaf directly to the skin for irritation or dryness. You can ingest the gel from an aloe vera plant or cook with it, making you healthier from the inside. Aloe is excellent for healthy hair too.

Aloe is another plant that does not like direct sunlight, so it is perfect as an indoor plant. They do require regular watering but do not overwater the plant.

Lavender

Lavender is a beautiful plant. The purple flowers add a gorgeous pop of colour. Lavender is an excellent plant for stress relief and a natural aid for mental health. The relaxing aroma fills your house. It’s a perfect bedroom plant. The fragrance helps with anxiety, making Lavender an excellent sleeping aid.

Lavender does like sunlight, so make sure you place it in an area where it will get a good few hours of direct sun. Well-drained soil will keep your lavender plant healthy and happy.

Snake Plant

The snake plant, also known as Mother-In-law’s tongue, does not sound very pleasing, but it is a great plant to improve the air in your home. We breathe in oxygen and breathe out carbon dioxide. Snake plants convert this carbon dioxide into oxygen at night.

Though snake plants do not need much care, just one snake plant won’t fill up your home with fresh oxygen. You need a few snake plants in your home in different areas for them to be at their most effective. Snake plants prefer indirect sunlight and do not need much watering.

Rosemary

Rosemary is not a complex plant to grow and has many benefits, and tastes great in food. You need to pay attention to the soil moisture level in the summer months and water when the soil seems a bit dry. Rosemary plants do not need much watering in winter.

To take advantage of the memory and concentration boosting effects of the scent of the rosemary plant, put the plant in the study or office.

Boston Fern

Your Boston Fern does require certain conditions to flourish. Make sure to ask at the nursery when you buy your plant. They prefer cooler temperatures and water as needed.

These attractive ferns are a great addition to your home to regulate humidity and air purity. By purifying the air and putting natural moisture back into the air, these plants help soothe dry skin.
