BOLLYWOOD’S MOST GENEROUS STAR
Salman Khan is Bollywood’s most generous star. Many of the younger actors and actresses often tell stories of how Salman looks after them with little gestures here and there. At various instances, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Deepika Padukone and others have sung odes to Sallu’s empathetic nature.
Now, the cast and crew of Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo can’t stop singing praises of Salman Khan’s generosity. Despite being a superstar, he makes sure everyone on the set has eaten, and if they have not, he makes them leave everything aside and have their meals. That’s not all. Boxes full of delicacies like biryani and kebabs have been arriving from the Khan household for everyone.
A short while back, even Katrina Kaif, Salman Khan’s ex-girlfriend paid homage to her mentor by saying that she has never forgotten the advice she got from Salman at the beginning of the her career. For all the rumours of the ugly split, she said she has a soft corner for Salman.
This has been a fairly new phenomenon, though. Salman Khan hasn’t always been a nice guy. During his break-up with Aishwarya Rai, he was known to be the bad boy of the industry, not just in terms of his dealing with women, but also with his trysts with the police. Also, everyone knows about his existing drunken driving charge that killed a few people. Maybe this new avatar of Salman Khan is to over-compensate for the image that he acquired in the first part of his career?
But that’s for the psychoanalysts. For our part, we’re glad that Bollywood has a generous star in Sallu Bhai.
