Fig balls are made from fig paste, and they have a zesty and flavorful taste. Made with a mixture of ingredients, there is nothing not to like about this recipe. Hereunder, we review the preparatory process you can replicate at home to make your own Fig Balls.

  • 30Grams Sunflower Seeds
  • 30Grams Coconut
  • 120Grams dried figs (washed)
  • 30Grams walnut.

The Recipe

Step 1: Blend seeds and nuts in a food processor or blender for two minutes or until you notice that the ingredients have become very smooth.

Step 2: The next step is to place the figs. As you place the figs, you will notice how they bunch up around the sides. This is the result you get when you work with a food processor. This is an indication that your paste is in order.

Step 3: After placing the figs, proceed to roll them into balls with your hands. Or better still, press it into a small bowl and place it inside your refrigerator to ice, then cut it into squares. To add a different flavour, you may add flaked coconut to the paste before mixing.

Fig Balls are great and can be eaten any time of the day. They are rich in vitamins and give your system a quick energy boost. Dried figs are rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals, and they possess a higher concentration of nutrients that will do your health a world of good. One hundred grams of dried figs contain about 249 calories. And it will interest you to know that they also contain copper, calcium, potassium, iron, selenium, manganese, and zinc. What’s more, the sugar in dried figs is not released into your bloodstream immediately but gradually over an extended period.

As for the nuts you use in making the paste, they contain different minerals, so you get extra minerals to boost your energy levels at any time of the day.
