THINGS THAT MAKE US MISS INDIA WHEN WE GO ABROAD

Missing

For someone who has never been abroad, adapting to the lifestyle can be really cumbersome as they are used to being a part of the same lifestyle for decades. Staying abroad has its own perks, but someone who has resided in India will certainly miss a few things that will pull them back to their native country at some point of time. Let us list out a few of these things:

  1. Indian Food: Although you will always run into Indian restaurants when you go abroad, but the options will be very limited and most importantly, it might not be cooked the way it is cooked in India. “Paranthe Waali Gali” has the best paranthas one can have, but you will never come across the same Paranthas anywhere else.
  2. People: Once you go abroad, you will be leaving your family, friends and all those memories you made with them. For someone who has been brought up in India, the connection with native people will be something which cannot be made with people in other countries since there is a certain amount of patriotism that grips you whenever you come across an Indian in some other continent.
  3. Wide range of festivals: Although festivals such as Holi and Diwali are celebrated abroad, but it is nowhere near to the celebrations that happen in India. Indians abroad have their own benefits, but there are umpteen things which they are bound to miss.
