Celebrate This Yoga Day with Indian Consulate
Yoga is a world-renowned practice that goes beyond stretching to increase flexibility; it is a physical technique that helps with stress relief and is suitable for overall health maintenance. Therefore, the Consulate General of India, Melbourne, has scheduled to celebrate the 8th international day of Yoga on the 18th of June (9 am to 10:30 am). And Australians are cordially invited to be present at Harrison Room (Ponsford Stand)-Melbourne Cricket Ground for the same.
At this event, the dignitaries such as
High Commission of India, Canberra, Consulate General of India, Perth, Consulate General of India, Sydney) and Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, will be present.
Furthermore, the Consulate will organise another event for the International Day of Yoga on the 19th of June in association with Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan Inc. Yoga enthusiasts can reach the Melton Community Hall.
On the 21st of June 2022, the Consulate General of India will organise “Chair Yoga for Elders” at 344 St Kilda Road Melbourne at 2:30 pm. Also, it is noteworthy that these events are a part of the Melbourne event of ’21 days of Yoga for Unity and Wellbeing”. These events are free, but interested individuals must register themselves.
