Hollywood star Paul Walker dies in fiery car crash

“Fast & Furious” franchise actor and Hollywood star Paul Walker died in a car crash on Saturday in the province of Southern California. The actor who shot to fame with the high-adrenaline street racing movie franchise was on his way from a charity event organized by his own organization named Reach out Worldwide and was raising money for victims of Typhoon Haiyan in Philippines.
Ame Van Iden, Paul Walker’s publicist confirmed the news of his death and refused to comment beyond what was already mentioned on the Facebook as well as Twitter accounts of the star. Paul Walker and his friend were travelling in a 2005 Porsche Carrera GT through Valencia province of Santa Clarita when the accident occurred. LA County Sheriff’s office reported that speed was one of the primary causes of the accident which took place around 3:30 pm killing both Walker and his friend on the spot. It is being said that the speed limit on that particular road was 45 mph but the Porsche was way above the limit which is when it lost control and rammed into a nearby tree.
Deputy Sheriffs rushed to the scene after a call was made and found the car on fire. Once the fire crew dozed off the flames, they found two bodies inside the car and both of them were pronounced dead on the spot. During the course of the accident, a lamp pole was mowed down by the car just before it crashed into the tree.
