Happiness often lies in the everyday things of life and one such happiness is soft, glowing skin. But, while some fortunate people may have naturally soft skin, not everyone is blessed with it.However, irrespective of the type, your skin will always appreciate a little extra attention.
And,if you thought that getting beautiful skin would require you to break the bank, think again because you really don’t need to visit the spa for a magical and soothing facial. Severalingredients that have the potential to work wonders on our skin are available at an arm’s length; right in the kitchen!And, you can easily prepare some refreshing face masks with these ingredients for glowing supple skin.
Pumpkin, loaded with beta-carotene, zinc, vitamins, C, E and A, is one such magical ingredient. And cinnamon, apart from its antifungal and antibacterial properties, helps to improve blood circulation. Let us see how to make a hydrating and rejuvenating face mask using these ingredients.
What you need:
• 3-4 big cubes of boiled pumpkin (or pumpkin purée)
• 1 tablespoon Honey
• 1 table spoon milk
• ½ table spoon cinnamon powder or paste (You can make the paste by rubbing it on grinding stone)
• Mixing bowl and spoon
Directions:
Step 1: Mash the boiled pumpkin with spoon to make purée.
Step 2: Add honey to pumpkin purée and mix well.
Step 3: Add milk and mix well. Reduce the quantity of milk if the purée is watery.
Step 4: Add cinnamon powder or paste.
Caution: Take precaution with the cinnamon quantity, as cinnamon is very strong.
Step 5: Blend everything well to make a smooth paste and your hydrating pumpkin mask is ready.
Apply on clean face; let it sit for 15 minutes and washoff with tepid water. Follow up with natural moisturizer and you will be left with soft glowing skin. Do not wash face with soap for next few hours.
You can refrigerate the left over paste in an air tight container for 4 days.
